Notepad.
It's easy to make a quick outline and initial draft were mistakes do not matter. It's easy to send to other computers/cellphones or just copy and paste to any program for proper formatting, spelling, and grammar correction.
CELTX is pretty advanced, why don't you give a review or overview of it?
